After months of inaction, Americans everywhere are hurting and they need relief now. Our tax dollars should serve our needs—especially when we’re struggling. That’s why we're cellebrating the American Rescue Plan and calling for our elected leaders to do the same.

Working Americans need the help that this large-scale rescue package provvides - recurring survival checks, expanded unemployment benefits, emergency rent and mortgage assistance, expanded child tax credits, funds to reopen schools safely, financial assistance for small businesses, restaurants and bars, and free universal COVID vaccine distribution.

Instead of attacking and politicizing the American Rescue Plan, now is the time for Governor Lee, Senators Blackburn and Hagarty, and our members of Congress to welcome and celebrate it and set a better course for the future of our communities.  Now is the time for us to unite across our differences to help every-day people in pursuit of a safe and thriving nation.

We cannot go back to business as usual because business as usual is what created this crisis. For too long, the few have had their say over the many by keeping us divided. We can make sure we have what we need to get and stay well.  Because the future is what we do together.

We call on Governor Bill Lee, Senators Blackburn and Hagarty, and our members of Congress to stop playing politics with the American Rescue Plan and join us in welcoming and celebrating the benefits it provides not only to provide much needed relief to workers, businesses, schools and families, but also to jumpstart our economy.
