Three years ago, I almost lost my beautiful, smart, compassionate daughter due to mental illness. We were fortunate enough to have excellent health care through my husband’s employer. And thankfully, due to the ACA, we were able to continue to cover our adult daughter, so that she could get the care she needed. If the ACA is repealed without a replacement, it will be impossible for my daughter to manage her illness. Without care her quality of life could really deteriorate, she could even die.
