Letter to Editor: Mark of Franklin, TN

January 13, 2017

Mark of Franklin, TN writes:

The Affordable Care Act is the only alternative millions of people have for insurance, including myself.  Since it is apparently easy to repeal the current ACA option, but difficult to replace it with a new option, prudence and a human concern for those who need insurance most begs the question . . . why not create a replacement plan first, then repeal the original plan?  Or to create an incentive to fast track a replacement plan, perhaps members of Congress would be willing to forgo their own insurance plan until a replacement plan has been created and approved?  We the people beg you, please replace before repeal!
