I am 47 and a Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer patient. I was unemployed and without insurance when I was diagnosed. Social safety net programs saved my life and continue to keep me alive, five years into my treatment.
I am a veteran of the USAF and a former military intelligence officer. I taught Sunday School and was a member of the Rotary Club and owned my own business for many years.

I want to maintain and make stronger the social safety net. Healthcare is a basic human right.
